UPDATE on re-opening City of Eudora
Parks and Recreation facilities and activities.

Eudora Parks and Recreation have developed a plan to slowly reopen park facilities and programs, keep others closed, and provide information to the public. Eudora Parks & Recreation are following the recommendations and guidelines established by the State and outlined by the Kansas Recreation & Parks Association (KRPA). Their reopening plan can be found on their website.

https://krpa.wildapricot.org/News/8964294

In Eudora, the health and safety of the public and our staff is our top priority. Please note that the situation is constantly evolving and Eudora Parks & Recreation will update timelines and plans as the situation requires - please visit the Eudora Parks and Recreation Department Facebook page for the most up-to-date information regarding park programming and services.
As of today, May 12, 2020, here are the relevant details:

Summer camp is cancelled - community safety is our number one priority. To that end, there is no safe or feasible way for Eudora to host summer camp this year.

Gymnasium is CLOSED until further notice.

Fitness Room is TENTATIVELY proposed to open on June 1 -
The fitness room will be open with significant changes to hours of operation, number of patrons admitted, equipment spacing, and sanitizing procedures. All details will be posted and staff will closely monitor activity to ensure appropriate safety precautions are being followed.

Community Room is TENTATIVELY proposed to open on June 15th -
room rentals and reservations may begin on this date with updated procedures and sanitizing procedures.

Swimming Pool is TENTATIVELY proposed to open on June 15th -
there will be significant changes to operations, admission, and sanitizing procedures.

There will be no swim team in 2020.

If the State alters the timelines for opening of municipal spaces and pushes dates back, the last date that we will consider opening the pool for 2020 will be July 1.
